Fajr best film 'The Situation of Mehdi' reveals behind-the-scenes video

Highly acclaimed Iranian movie 'The Situation of Mehdi'  has released behind-the-scenes video. 

'The Situation of Mehdi' was crowned the best film at Fajr Festival in Iran, narrating the story of an Iranian hero in the Iraq-Iran war.

"The narrative angle of the film was ... innovative, especially with the focus on home and family,"  Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei lauded the film reflected in a note by Peyman Jebelli, head of the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB).

The leader added that "the film was excellent. Full of accurate points with a true narrative. The characters of Bakeri martyrs, especially the backbone of the film Mr. Mehdi, have been properly portrayed and narrated."

‘The Situation of Mehdi’ gained a number of awards and nominations besides the title of Best Film at the 40th Fajr fest.  It narrates the last days of Mehdi Bakeri, Iranian general of the Iran-Iraq war and his soldiers.

What makes the film special are the dialogues in Turkish with Persian subtitles. Considering this peculiar, ‘the Situation of Mehdi’ is the first Turkish language Iranian film to win the Best Film Simorgh at Fajr fest.
